1.General Properties

ABS plastic raw material is non-toxic, odorless, the appearance of ivory translucent, or transparent particles or powder. Density is 1.05~1.18g/㎝3, shrinkage rate is 0.4%~0.9%, modulus of elasticity is 2Gpa, Poisson's ratio is 0.394, moisture absorption is <1%, melting temperature is 217~237℃, thermal decomposition temperature is >250℃.


2. Mechanical properties

ABS plastic raw materials have excellent mechanical properties, its impact strength is very good, can be used at very low temperatures; ABS plastic raw materials have excellent wear resistance, good dimensional stability, and oil resistance, can be used for medium load and low speed bearings.ABS plastic raw materials creep resistance than the PSF and PC, but smaller than PA and POM.


3. Thermal properties

ABS plastic raw materials heat distortion temperature of 93 ~ 118 ℃, products can also be increased after annealing treatment of about 10 ℃. ABS plastic raw materials in -40 ℃ can still show a certain degree of toughness, can be used in the temperature range of -40 ~ 100 ℃.


4. Electrical properties

ABS plastic raw materials of electrical insulation is good, and almost independent of temperature, humidity and frequency, can be used in most environments.


5. Environmental performance

ABS plastic raw materials are not affected by water, inorganic salts, alkalis and a variety of acids, but can be dissolved in ketones, aldehydes and chlorinated hydrocarbons, by glacial acetic acid, vegetable oils and other erosion will produce stress cracking.ABS plastic raw materials weathering is poor, in the role of ultraviolet light is prone to degradation; in the outdoors in half a year, the impact strength decreased by half.


II. Main uses


1.Alloy field

PC / ABS plastic material is an important engineering plastics alloy, widely used in automotive, electrical and electronic, office and communications equipment and other fields. Nowadays, in order to meet the special requirements of fire safety in the field of application (especially electronic and electrical products), the flame retardant technology of PC/ABS plastic raw material alloy has become a hotspot of people's research. However, with the progress of science and technology, the requirements of environmental friendliness of the material is more and more high, the traditional halogenated flame retardant brought about by the hazards of the increasingly obvious.


In the project, ABS plastic raw materials are widely used in engineering pipeline, in the municipal government on the material requirements of the project is relatively high, the bottom of the pool pipeline can generally be made of ABS plastic raw materials made of pipeline.


2.3D printing field

III. Preparation methods
